Titanic Influenza

A microscopic view of the bacteria that is possibly the same kind that created the flu

Titanic Influenza (also called Ocean Flu or acronymed TF) is a strand of an influenza virus that mutated from bacteria on the cruise ship, RMS Titanic, before & after it sunk. This particular virus is extremely common on the planet Saturn & has infected millions on a yearly basis. The disease is usually fatal unless treated.

The Titanic was a royal mail ship that sent letters from the Hyperion nation of Saturn to the Titan nation. It sunk 3 days into it's maiden voyage, it struck an iceberg & sank. Later, voyages that discovered it's location had it's crew take samples of the ship. These ship parts were covered with seaweed, molds & other bacteria. Scientists then accidentally spilled chemicals containing the flu virus onto this bacteria, which allowed the virus to live for extremely long times in air.

There are many symptoms of the flu:

Stage OneEdit

  • Headaches
  • Congestion in chest or nasal areas
  • Dry throat
  • Dizziness
  • Loss of balance, constant or occasional
  • Nausea

Stage TwoEdit

  • Fever
  • Vomiting
  • Sore throat
  • Coughing
  • Sneezing
  • Sweating or shivering at normal temperatures
  • Frequent loss of balance

Stage ThreeEdit

  • Blackouts (intervals of unconsciousness, lasting from seconds to minutes)
  • Redness in the face
  • Disorientation
  • Confusion
  • Short term memory loss

Stage FourEdit

  • Heatstroke
  • Long term memory loss
  • Longer blackouts (lasting from minutes to hours)
  • Shallow breathing
  • Death

If the disease isn't treated, the victim of it could enter stage four, which is the point where it is very unlikely for recovery. The disease, if treated, will only raise to stage two & maybe a few stage three symptoms. When the disease is treated with the proper medicine, it will last as a normal strand of flu symptoms that will last a little longer than the normal flu would & will last at least 2-3 weeks.

Like all viral & bacterial diseases, there is no known cure for Titanic Influenza. This flu can be treated & prevented, though.

In 725 B.C., Scientists & microbiologists discovered a vaccine & announced this publicly after weeks of experimentation to prove that it worked. But the vaccine wasn't a complete safeguard against the flu: The vaccination did not make anyone sick, but it had a waiting period for immunity to become effective & because this interval was so long, it was still possible to get the flu. According to Chess Masters on John Chase's possible case of Titanic Influenza, the vaccination period lasts approx. 1 whole month (25 days to be more accurate).
